We are extremely excited to welcome Bart Landsverk to the Provisions Wealth Planners team!

Bart graduated from UW-Oshkosh in journalism in 1989. He married his wife shortly after.  His wife, Kay, is a physical therapist at ThedaCare for nearly 20 years. Their daughter, Tori, is a middle school Spanish teacher in Oregon, WI.  Their son, Eric, is a senior at Concordia University in Mequon majoring in finance.  Bart has volunteered for many organizations including St. John’s Church in Little Chute, past president of the Little Chute Career Pathways Charter School, Little Chute Business Association and Little Chute Softball Club.

After graduating from UW-Oskosh he served with Community First Credit Union in marketing then became an editor for the Brillion News. As Bart’s journalism career progressed he was employed at Kaukauna Times and Krause Publications, i.e. Deer & Deer Hunting magazine. In early 1997 he ventured to the Twin Cities to work at an advertising agency and became editor for Whitetail News.  In April 2000 he returned to the Fox Valley to be closer to their families and continued his career path as a sales person with Fox Cities Newspaper, division of Journal Communications. After the 9/11 attacks, the impact on our economy forced Journal Communications to close their doors.  Bart quick and collectively gathered a few of his co-workers and together created the Times-Villagers Newspaper Group, where he became President and majority owner.  In 2007, he was approached to sell his company, an offer he couldn’t refuse and continued out his career there until 2010.

Bart decided to change his career path and completed his securities and insurance licenses and now holds a Series 6, 63 and 7 held with LPL Financial and the Series 65 held with Provisions Wealth Planners, along with his life and health insurance license.  He has worked with Wells Fargo, MetLife Resources and shortly after, was recruited to First Merit Bank in 2016.  At First Merit Bank he was named top financial advisor competing with 150 other advisors.  First Merit Bank merged in 2017 with Huntington Bank and everything was going so well that he was named to the Circle of Excellence as a top advisor for Huntington Investment Company the same year and continued to be a top advisor in the Wisconsin and Chicago footprint.

As Bart grew and continued doing what he enjoys helping his clients pursue their financial security, he found himself being part of yet another merger.  Huntington decided to merge with Associated Bank in early 2019. Bart decided to look for a reliable company with stability and growth, somewhere he could finish out his career and where he could continue serving his clients.  As of March 4th, 2019 he as accepted the position of a Financial Advisor with Provisions Wealth Planners in Appleton, WI, which will allow him to continue the career he loves and enjoys for the rest of his career life.

Provisions starts a team for the Sole Burner 2018 5K Run/Walk for the American Heart Society

Provisions Wealth Planners has created team to run or walk the 36th Annual Appleton Sole Burner 5K on May 12th. This 5K benefits the American Cancer Society, and gets our butts into shape for the coming beach months. We are calling out to all our Facebook friends and families to join our team to participate in this wonderful fundraiser. We decided to set a fundraising goal of $5,000 to donate to the American Cancer Society, so we need everyone’s help!

The 5K run/walk starts and ends at City Park in Appleton, WI on Saturday May 12th.Don’t fret! If you are unable to run the 5K, we do have a group of people walking that would love for your to join. To join the event, follow the link below to our team page, which is where you can sign up to join our team. It takes a few seconds to add an account, but then you will be prompted to add your information. The registration fee to run/walk is $30.00 until May 7th, then the price does go up to $35.00. The registration fee is tax deductible and does go to our fundraising goal!

If you, unfortunately, cannot make either the run or walk, you can still help! As mentioned before our fundraising goal is $5,000, so we still need your help to achieve this. If you follow the team page link below, you can donate to our cause, and anything helps.

The funds raised through American Cancer Society Sole Burner 5K Run/Walk support the American Cancer Society’s fight to end cancer. Specifically, these dollars are used to make a difference by funding critical research, educating people on prevention and early detection, and providing free information and services to help people facing cancer today-including transportation, lodging, wigs, and support programs.

Thank you in advance for the help, we much appreciate it. We will let all know our progress!

Stay tuned as more details will be posted as we approach our run/walk date. We have some really cool things planned for after the event you do NOT want to miss!
